Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. It is in the wee hours of Friday morning and I am wearing maroon. I hope that you are as well. Isn't it wonderful that we live in a country that we can celebrate Maroon Friday as we choose? So I hope but you've got your Maroon on the day.

It's always great to kind of rep the brand, let people know where you stand. That's one of the things I love about, you know, football season. When I was, when I worked in retail, I let everybody

during football season wear jeans and their favorite team's shirt or jersey, whether it be a high

school team, an NFL team, or a college team, it was Jersey Day, and it brought a great deal

of pride and at the same time relaxation. We brought new meaning to casual Friday. So our football Fridays, we encouraged

everybody to rep their teams. And it was incredible how many customers would come in that were kind of

excited about that too. It's like, hey, look at you guys. And so I think it's a cool thing that we do

that. We don't celebrate it as much as we, maybe we did in recent years, but I still think

Maroon Friday is a really cool thing.

I'm proud to be a bulldog.

And I think many of you are as well.

You wouldn't be listening to the show if you didn't have some interest in Mississippi State.

So let me encourage you whenever you can.

Wear your maroon. I used to like the thing on Fridays we wear maroon. It's one of those things too when I wake up on Friday mornings I always think, you know, before I go grab a Motley crew shirt or a rat shirt, I think, you know what, hey, it's Maroon Friday. I don't want to be caught out in public, not wearing maroon, and have somebody say, hey, look at Steve, he's not wearing his maroon. So maybe it's positive peer pressure, but I do enjoy us wearing maroon. One of the cool things, too, is, you know, my kids are older now. I've got three to four out of the house. It makes me feel like an old man. But, you know, we used to plan to go to Disney, you know, every couple of years.

And one of the cool things is I would always wear either a state hat or a state shirt while I was down there.

Inevitably, some other Bulldog fan would come up and say hello without fail.

Because, you know, it really is a family.

And sometimes fans of other SEC teams

would come up and say hey while we're waiting in its long line to ride Splash Mountain

how are the Bulldogs going to be this year what do you think about the coach who's going to

be the quarterback and so I like the fact even before all of this before I wrote books

and had a show that people kind of, you know,
