(00:00-26:39) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison breaking down their thoughts on the Indiana Hoosiers being able to come from behind late to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes. Additionally, they share some of their thoughts on the Indiana Pacers putting together a solid second half to beat the Houston Rockets.
(26:39-46:05) – Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com joins the show to provide some insight on Xavier Johnson’s injury and if he will return this season. Additionally, he weighs in on Jake’s opinion that IU is better without Johnson, examines what the roster could look like next season, and accesses why Trey Galloway has been so up and down this season. Finally, he reveals if this is a team that is fighting to make a run to get into the NCAA Tournament or if they’re playing for pride.
(46:05-47:34) – Hour one concludes with Jake and Jimmy quickly previewing the second hour of the program.
(47:34-1:11:29) – Hour two starts with Jake and Jimmy sharing their thoughts on the Pacers game last night. After they share their thoughts about the game and a couple players that had good performances, they go through the celebrities that will be in the Celebrity All-Star Game and see if they know what their job is.
(1:11:29-1:32:45) – Purdue’s Director of Player Development in P.J. Thompson joins Query & Company to validate Jake’s opinion that Purdue would not have won that game in Wisconsin a season ago by the way the Badgers contained Zach Edey. Highlights how much Matt Painter has changed over the years to be a consistent dominant force, the importance of adding Lance Jones to this year’s team, and how the offense is different from last year with how they’re using Zach Edey and Braden Smith. Finally, he gives a lot of credit to the type of player and person that Mason Gillis is for the Boilermakers this season.
(1:32:45-1:33:22) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake sharing a text he got from his heart doctor regarding the blood work he had to go have done this morning.
(1:33:22-1:56:59) – CBS Sports, TNT, and Westwood One play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Harlan joins the show to preview the Super Bowl this weekend to explain what all goes through this week to prepare for his 14th Super Bowl, admits the love he has for the Indiana Pacers, shares that broadcasting the Indianapolis 500 is a bucket list item for him, and what it means to be covering the Super Bowl with his daughter.
(1:56:59-2:15:09) – Jake and Jimmy revert to the Indiana Pacers, but with a focus on how much of a steal it is for the Pacers to have Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith on the contracts they currently have. This leads to Jake looking at some of the top highest paid players in the NBA.
(2:15:09-2:21:21) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie sharing one bet he likes, and JMV joining the guys in-studio to preview his show.
