Summary

(00:00-26:24) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Brian Noe filling in for Jake Query while he travels back from California. Brian and producer Eddie Garrison open the show by discussing the IU women’s loss to South Carolina in the NCAA Tournament yesterday and then congratulating Matt Painter on his sixth Sweet 16 in the last eight years with a commanding win over McNeese.

(26:24-40:33) – Brian and Eddie continue the NCAA Tournament chatter by debating whether the men’s tournament should mimic the women’s tournament with the first two rounds of the tournament on the home court. Brian believes that the men should, but Eddie doesn’t.

(40:33-44:09) – The first hour of the program concludes with Brian and Eddie trying to figure out why there have not been a ton of upsets in the NCAA Tournament this season.

(44:09-1:06:50) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins Query & Company with Brian Noe to get some of his thoughts on the NCAA Tournament, weighs in on which player the Colts should select based off the names that Brian provides him with, admits that the Colts drafting a guard with the fourteenth pick doesn’t make sense to him, and lays out what Anthony Richardson needs to show this season for Indianapolis in a make or break season.

(1:06:50-1:19:23) – Brian and Eddie shift their conversation back to the college basketball with the lack of upsets and Cinderella teams in the NCAA Tournament. They discuss if they are pro-Cinderella or anti-Cinderella.

(1:19:23-1:27:21) – Hour number two concludes with Brian defining what underrated and overrated mean to him because he has a couple of music opinions on bands being overrated and underrated. Plus, he and Eddie provide an example in sports of a player being overrated.

(1:27:21-1:52:09) – Sam King from the Lafayette Journal & Courier makes an appearance on the show with Brian Noe to discuss some of the important takeaways from Purdue’s first two wins in the NCAA Tournament. Sam also previews the upcoming challenges that the Houston Cougars bring, weighs in on the Matt Painter frisbee catching incident with the college basketball reporters after the win against McNeese, and explains the type of culture that Matt Painter has built.

(1:52:09-1:58:49) – Brian shifts the conversation to the NFL with a pair of AFC South quarterbacks needing to show what type of player they are. Brian starts the conversation about Anthony Richardson needing to show something in a make-or-break season for his NFL career. As for C.J. Stroud, Brian is trying to decide whether he is an average QB or an elite QB.

(1:58:49-2:07:22) – Today’s show closes with Brian and Eddie discussing whether the terms of NIL deals should be made public because Coleman Hawkins of Kansas State believes the amount of money he makes shouldn’t be out there
