Prior to any song that you could ever want being at the touch of a button all we had

were friends the record store and the radio. What are you fucking giggling about, Hunter?

I don't know, this is the most pretentious you'll ever get.

But friends went home and the record store closed.

The radio was all there was at night. And you bought a bunch of records

and you got your friends to stay past three in the morning. Damn straight.

I'm really fucking sad. Ever since I was a kid I had a love hate relationship with the radio.

Well I'd occasionally find something new and exciting.

It was usually sandwiched between long stretches of Bon Jovi and a touch of gray or whatever the hell WZPL was playing.

But sometimes every once in a while it was beautiful, I would say.

You can hear the Ramones or the Clash or once I discovered College Radio, the Buzzcocks and

stiff little fingers and more and more and more. Today I'm going to dig into punk rock that is

entirely focused on that love hate relationship. Welcome to Beyond Yacht Rock
