My entitled extended family demands that they be allowed to build an entirely new house in our backyard.

And now that we're being told about this literally at the last second, my aunt is on her way to try and sort out the details.

And at this point, I seriously don't know what to do. Here's what happened.

Okay, so honestly, how do I even start this? A few years back, I think maybe about 2003, we started having some issues concerning the house we currently live in. The usual family drama caused by golden children, namely my aunt, mainly at the moment, of who gets the house and etc. when grandma passes away. There's been fights concerning putting legal paperwork in order, to my grandmother and aunt wanting to sell the house right under our noses, to wanting to take

the whole basement that's currently my brother's workshop, where they would toss all of his stuff out

to make an apartment for my aunt and uncle when they come to visit here. They have plots to throw me,

my mom, and my brother out of the house, to even my aunt accusing my mom of mistreating my grandmother.

We've had everything happen practically, but recently

some things came up that really made this so much worse. My grandmother came back from staying with

my aunt and uncle for the holidays out in the States, and this is where she apparently put them

through heck and back. And for reference, my grandma is a huge narcissist. But somehow, despite all

of that, my aunt and grandma made plans to build a house in the backyard for my aunt. And this is all without telling us until the very last minute. So it starts off like this. Me, my mom, and my brother are in the living room. When my grandma comes down and says the following. My grandma says, grandson, I would like to talk to you. My brother then jumps in with suspicion and says, what do you want? Whenever you start a sentence like that, it's because you want something. But my grandma said, no, no, no, I just wanted to ask you a question, just out of curiosity. Your aunt was to build a house in the backyard. Would that even be possible? Well, my brother then raised his eyebrow, already smelling the next round of family conflict. He then said, well, you could, but it would be illegal. And the house would just most likely collapse because, for one, there's a sewer drainage system back there. Secondly, the ground back there isn't solid at all, so it's a big risk making a house back there when the ground is sinking. Third, you can't just build a house right behind this house because you'd have no proper exit or exit in case of emergencies. Also, you'd have to segregate the land and both mom, uncle, and you would need to sign that you're giving that part to my aunt. And also, you need to get permissions and permits to build back there if you want to do it legally, which will be near impossible. Then again, though, it's not like aunt is going to listen. She'll do what she wants even if someone is telling her that's a bad idea. Now at this point, my mom and I are just silently listening to the entire thing. And we're actively thinking on our heads, oh man, here we go again. Because trust me, this is just the beginning of our troubles. My grandma then says, oh, well, you all sort that out with your aunt. I clean my hands of this. I have nothing to do with this. Middle daughter, you talk to your sister. And then after that, my aunt texts my mom, something along the lines of, hey, sister. So I've been thinking about building a house for myself in the backyard over there, you know, since I'm not getting any younger here. My health isn't great at the moment. And if anything happens to my boyfriend, I won't get the

house. And the house will go to his kids, and they'll most likely just sell the house. And then I won't have anywhere to go. I've been thinking about this for a long time now. And I brought it up to mom, and she's on board. And I already talked to our brother yesterday, and he's okay with it. But I really can't wait any longer because of my health. I've been waiting to get the basement for five years already,

But here's the thing. All of this was a complete lie. It turns out she had been already talking to a guy to build the house and made plans for what she wants it to look like. And because she has the money for it, she had this thought out for a long time now. And we only know this because my brother found out from our second cousin. Now supposedly my aunt is coming out here to sort all of this out soon. So I'm honestly so worried about how this is going to go down because at this point I really don't know what to do. Your aunt is unbelievably toxic. Think about it for a second. She's like, oh man, I've already talked to your brother. I'm going to build a house back there. I just want to communicate properly. Like seriously, what's the problem? And it's

like, yeah, I wonder why we can't communicate properly. And it's like, oh, I don't know. Maybe it's
