another episode of the Bryce Cover podcast. I'm Bryce, and today we are on Proverbs chapter 5. This means we've got

six more after this. Six more

chapters in the Proverbs series. Guys, I pray this one. You guys have been enjoying it. I'm loving the

Proverbs series. This is going to be a really big blessing today. I'm excited for Proverbs 25. This is a

blessing my soul. This series is a blessing my soul. Let's read together.

These also are Proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah King of Judah copied.

I love verse two right here. It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search it out. We are amazed by what we do see right now, and imagine how much greater the

things are that God is concealing from us. But it's the glory of great men to search out the things that God conceals. This is why it's important for us to meet with God in the secret place. It's the glory of God to conceal things, but it is the honor of kings to what? Search it out. I mean, yet these things aren't impossible for us to understand that we will never obtain them. There's a little bit of work that needs to be put in. Seeking the Lord. God likes the chase. God likes the desire. Verse three is the heavens for height and the earth for depth so the heart of kings is unsearchable. Take away the dross from the silver and the smith has material for a vessel.

Take away the wicked from the presence of a king and his throne will be established in righteousness. Verse six, do not put yourself forward in the king's presence or stand in the place of the great, of the great. For it is better to be told, come up here than to be put lower in the presence of a noble. what your eyes have seen. a verse six saying now verse six is more applying to the culture at the time of like approaching a king

but we can learn to avoid self exaltation from that verse because when we humble ourselves before

god we should actively be humbling ourselves before other people as well first eight do not

hastily bring into court for what you will do in the end when your neighbor puts you to shame.

Argue your case with your neighbor himself. Do not reveal other secret, lest he who hears you bring shame upon you and your ill repute have no end. Court isn't a bad thing.

We're saying like, man, why rush to court when like a lot of times you can just handle things with our neighbor?
