What should I call myself on these ones? Well, I'm Thomas, still on sabbatical for Mondays and Fridays

for the time being, but I want to be able to introduce Matt and Janessa occasionally and tell you what

we're going to talk about. So you might remember Project 2025. You know that thing that didn't exist and if it did, it had nothing to do with Trump and what are we all complaining about and I don't get what we're all so hysterical about and won't we shut up. And Trump said he wasn't part of it. So why don't we believe him? What's wrong with us. Remember that? Remember that? Well, how's that going? Well, I mean, according to who, I guess, but

Well, I mean, according to who, I guess. But according to you and I, perhaps not great. But Matt wanted to check out just how not great. Matt wanted to check the progress of all the things, of all the things they wanted to do in Project 2025. How's it going? Where are they at? That's what Matt and Janessa are here to talk about today.

We're going to hang out and talk about our favorite subject, which is the creeping fascism that's taking over the United States. So fun. I keep saying creeping, but we're six months in here, and it's pretty well here. It's in view. Sprinting? Yeah. Forward rolling. Yeah. Cartwheeling. It's not crawling anymore. No. It's on two legs. I wanted to check in. We're recording this six months exactly after the Trump administration got started. And after a whole pile of executive orders are signed. And I want to check in on how the first six months have been going in terms of the Project 2025 mandate for leadership, colon, the conservative promise document produced by the Heritage Foundation.

Now, Project 2025, we were aware of it for about a year and a half before the election, but it really started to take off summer and fall around the time of the election.

People started to realize that they actually did have an evil plan to take over the United States. They have this long-ass 920-page PDF document

that anybody can read that tells you exactly what they're going to do. So we did an episode on it

back before Trump was elected, warning people some of the general policy stuff that was in there as well

as what they're going to do. And I think this is a great time to kind of check in and see where it's at. How is it going? Because the thing that's different about this, this is published by the Heritage Foundation, which of course, as we know, is one of the far-right organizations that is running America. Yeah. What do you know about the Heritage Foundation? It's interesting. they came up in my classroom when I was teaching about IQ testing and white supremacy, that

they fund a lot of that research.

So they are connected to the Pioneer Fund, which funds that research.

That's a surprise.
