0:16.7	As the topic of abortion is being intensely debated in our country these days, I think
0:20.9	it's important that we Catholics maintain a supernatural perspective.
0:25.7	We need to see what's really going on.
0:27.5	We need to see things with the eyes of the angels.
0:30.1	I want to consider this with a spiritual lens, not just what's happening in the news and
0:34.2	what's happening in Washington and what's happening on social media.
0:37.6	We need to look at this with a clear supernatural perspective.
0:42.1	We have to remember that all that's going on here, remember that behind all of this,

0:48.6	It's the devil whom Scripture reveals is the one who hates human life.
0:53.4	It's the devil that's always trying to get us to turn on each other, to fight with each
0:57.3	other, hurt each other, even kill each other.
0:58.8	We see this right away at the very beginning of the Bible, the first generation after Adam
1:02.4	and Eve, what happens?
1:03.4	Cain murders his brother Abel out of envy.
1:07.0	When God confronts him on this, what does Cain say to you?
1:09.8	Remember, he says, am I my brother's keeper?
1:12.6	Do I have any responsibility to care for other people's human life, am I responsible for
1:17.7	other people?
1:18.7	Well, St. John Paul II, beautifully, poignantly shed light on what's really happening
