This is John Bachelor. I spoke with my colleague George Friedman. They found her in chairman of geopolitical futures

about the puzzlement. Why is Ukraine not attacking? Termal in Moscow?

The probes continue, but the main battle effort has not come into focus.

Why not? George has an explanation. It's surprising.

It's George.

It's fighting going on, it's probing going on, but there is not an attempt to bring that war to a halt.

This is their great chance. So the question is why not? They've been fighting this for a year and a half.

My view is, the only explanation is that there is an opportunity for a peacock.

The United States has been wanting peacock with Russia for a while. The Russians have been

hinted they wanted, moved back and so on. Right now, Putin internally is looking like an idiot.

To continue the war by an idiot is not a good move. He wants a settlement now.

The Americans have a presidential election coming. They'd really like to wrap this up.

And I think the reason that Ukraine is not launched defensive is there are feelers out

at the possibility of some serious discussions.
