Olaf Schultz hesitates, but Germany is the second largest funder of Ukraine after the US.

Vladimir Putin is now extremely aggressive and at odds with all of Schultz he's

used the word cowards directing it at Germany and the

Social Democrats. And Donald Tusk just re-elected in Poland very keen on winning the war in Ukraine.

Judy Dempsey here introduces the Christian Democrats who for a long time

were in charge through Angela Merkel that are now opposition and their position

on Ukraine is straightforward. It's as simple as Poland's win, win, win, win.

Social Democrats and their coalition and the

opposition Christian Democrats.

This is very interesting.

The opposition Christian Democrats now are in full swing

and they're soaring in the opinion polls.

They've got a super foreign foreign affairs team,

foreign policy team, and they actually want Ukraine to win.

And if it doesn't win, they want Ukraine to be able to negotiate with Russia from a position of strength.

And they're very, very much critical of Shultz. They're very critical of the coalition and they're doing what an opposition party

should do, come up with ideas and question what Chancellor Schultz is doing are not doing and they are getting a lot of support for this.
