column, he's based in London, about Rishisunach, the former Prime Minister, now a member of Parliament,

he's resigned his leadership in the Tories, and how he conducted himself bad luck,

bad decisions during the campaign. Maybe it always was going to come to

overwhelming labor but Joe tells stories about timing and the rain.

I think it was always going to be a tough slog for the Tories to win in election. They'd been in power for 14 years, which is far, far too long in any democracy. They were politically intellectually exhausted.

Voters retired of them and ready for some fresh faces.

So it was going to be tough and then Sunak made it considerably worse.

This has got to be one of the most hapless election

campaigns anyone has ever run in the English speaking world. It started when he announced the date of the election in this pouring rain without an umbrella so that all of the pictures were of him

leaving, looking kind of like a drowned rat. And then from there, went on to Gaffes, like him leaving D-Day

commemorations early for a campaign event. Just this series of hapless blunders confusion where it was

hard for the party to say what they were running for and I think by the end of it

voters looked at the Conservatives and they thought that look this is the gang that

can't shoot straight and we need a party that at least is not making obvious mistakes which is one of the virtues of this labor party campaign.
