That the British industrial base has declined to such an extent over the past 50 years that building it up again

will be extremely difficult and also of course in very straightened economic times it's not at all clear where where the money will be

will come from and if it comes from anywhere it will have to come out of the budget for

alternative energy for you know reducing dependence on one fossil fuels and that has been set out by all parties as key to the future of

British industry so there there are really, really serious choices to be made here.
