About the 80th remembrance of the Battle of Tinian, this is Northern Marianas. This is a battlefield from World War II

80 years ago on the 24th of July. The U.S. Forces Navy and Marines took Tinian Island in a week-long campaign, August 24th to, I mean July 24th to August 1st.

Tinian became the airfield for the B 29th, burning Japan and

eventually dropping the two atomic bombs. Today Tinian is having its

airfield rebuilt in anticipation of a Chinese attack.

At the same time, China is taking advantage of the access to the Northern Mariana's

and Clio is about to describe what we know right now

about how this is sovereign US territory,

the Northern Mariana's. How Chinese nationals, Chinese

nationals with cash or bribing or influence peddling are entering the

Northern Mariana's with that acting and what is to be done.
