Bill makes it very clear that this opinion does not reflect the facts of the matter in Afghanistan.

He goes through the litany of connections between them, including of course that they've

never been alienated and these assertions by Bill are so convincing, so comprehensive

from years of watching the foundation for the defense of democracy's long war journal.

It is a puzzle why distinguished commentators such as David Ignatius of the Washington Post

are still eager to enjoy this conversation by saying the Taliban has left Afghanistan.
