Conversation with my good friend and colleague Bob Zimmerman about a SpaceX

launch where putting satellites into orbit, where the second stage in orbit failed, failed to deploy properly. The FAA is

investigating and Bob tells me until that investigation is complete this SpaceX will be limited in what it can do with its

Falcon 9 launching the constellation that is Starlink. However I puzzled with Bob and we get into a dialogue about it, does the FAA have authority

in orbit?

This made orbit, but it didn't make the correct orbit. So when they deployed some satellites, those satellites were too low and they it's a failed mission.

Did anything come back to Earth? Oh yeah, the first stage functions perfectly.

They came back and landed on the drone ship.

So there was no danger from safety from that.
