These last hours out of London,

Romania says it finds drone fragments near border with Ukraine.

I speak with Antonio Kalabashanu, Geopolitical Futures, also a professor

at the University in Bucharest for Political Affairs. She is in Bucharest and these are early moments of investigating the drone that was

found near the Romanian Port of Brailla. The best thinking right now comes to no conclusion, but opposite the Romanian Brailla and

Kostanza in that part of Romania, opposite the Danube River is Ukraine, not Moldova, Ukraine, right across

the river. And a Russian drone is not illogical in that area. To what end Odessa province Oblast right across

the river is a target of the Russian invasion. That's part of Nova Rassia. So here is Antonio Kalabashano to carefully explain what

we know now and what it means that the Danube is now under surveillance or under attack. What it means for the grain shipments out of Ukraine,

what it means for the war, says the Kremlin, the war between Russia and Ukraine. Fact is that Romania has been on the front line, has been helping Ukraine getting out its

exports through the Danube and the drone was found close to one of the Danube's most

important ports in Brailla that Romania modernized during the last year in order to facilitate trade for Ukraine,

but not only obviously. So in order to increase the flow of merchandise.

Now, we have had incidents closer to the border with Ukraine,

nearby the ports of Ukraine on the Danube as Russia was basically attacking the Ukrainian

ports. We have had I think two incidents of drones or just you know alarms sounding for drones covering

the Danube side of Romania, but it is the first time that we have one so close to a port that is not so nearby the Ukrainian territory.

At this moment, we do not know

if this was a Russian drone,

however logic tells us that this might be a Russian drone, probably meant to hit the Ukrainian port of Wrenn, which is on the other side of the Danube a few miles away from Brailla.

With that in mind, that pretty much shows that Romania is exposed.
