Reddit is a large website, which acts as not only an aggregate for news and other links

are posed, but is a sprawling discussion forum and social media platform.

For many, myself included, Reddit is kind of a one-stop shop on the internet, which

includes everything we need or want to know about the world around us.

However, people who visit Reddit, Redditers, as they're known, get as much out of Reddit

as they put into it, that is to say, what you see on Reddit is up to you.

The platform is made up of thousands of different subreddits, everything from news to unresolved

mysteries, the latter of which encouraged me to start podcasting years ago, to almost

anything else you could think of.

The subreddits that I visit on a regular basis range from sports to news to true crime,

to metalcore or hardcore music, even down to out of the park baseball, a niche PC game

that I've played for years.

Your experience on Reddit is very much going to be determined by what subreddits you visit

and subscribe to, and how much you choose to participate, if at all.

Not only in how you comment and message with other people, but by how often you post

in specific subreddits, well in addition to being an outlet for news and varying interest,

Reddit also has platforms for more important issues, which range from women's rights

to social justice awareness to political campaigns, and so much more.

There are even relationship advice subreddits, which can amount to free therapy for a lot

of people who don't have anyone else in their life to bounce personal issues off of, while

the quality of this advice tends to vary.
