This is John Bachelor, conversation with Professor Richard Epstein of the Hoover Institution teaches law at NYU and the University of Chicago.

We discuss the Supreme Court decisions, but most readily Richard reflects upon the two governor's names used now routinely

in the Washington Post and New York Times, the LA Times, as possible

replacements for President Joe Biden in the event that the decision

is made by the White House or the Democratic Party not to go forward with his candidacy for re-election.

The two governors in hand that are mentioned routinely now,

are Governor Newsom of California

and Governor Whitmer of Michigan.

Well those are the two that are most likely they're both pretty far

of the left popular within this state but probably not electable elsewhere

Gavin Newsom is going to have to deal with the problem, that he's introduced all sorts of legislation

that won't fly at the federal level, including his tempative, tempted support of a reparations

program which should make every black person who is eligible for benefits say

millionaire and have to put billions of dollars, trillions of dollars maybe in order to do this

that's not going to fly even his simple devices like the $20 an hour

minimum wage for the fast food service industry has resulted in many many

many layoffs. His climate policies are an utter disaster,

having caused far more danger than anything else
