Gordon Chang joining us makes the point that China uses jawboning to divide populations to alienate people from the center in order to make inroads in that first island chain.

In the Philippines, Taiwan, in Japan.

However, Jim's measure is that that is not adequate.

The first island chain is a fortress wall.

Any comments about what China has and he's

comments about what China has as a plan B and it sounds like war.

Well, I think that's what China's been very adept at

over the last couple of decades is being able to use

non-kinetic power, you know, all kinds of pressure points and this is one of them that Gordon just described. But I also believe that they have been trying to they planned for a backup and I think what they've done with this build up of their strategic rocket force and this creation of an information support force

and all these other elements of military power are going to be designed to neutralize that threat.

And it's really, it's, you could almost say it's a gamble in some sense,
