paleontology, the search for dinosaurs, bones, a record of the distant past.

Before the comet, when North America divided in two parts,

was roamed by giants, monsters, hence monsters bones. In this particular story, it's the discovery

of what we call T-Rex, Tyrann-Rex, and how it shook our world, that is, challenged the presumptions of the

beginnings of the earth.

We now know it's more than 4 billion years old formed from collisions

around the Sun out of the protopl planetary disk. The collisions left the inner

planets bombarded but whole water appeared and then evolution.

None of that was available in the 19th century when our protagonist Barnum Brown from Kansas

set out as an undergraduate to join a team looking for bones.

They didn't know about the Tyrannosaurus rex. They didn't know about much of what we know about the dinosaurs, the reptiles.

Even the mammals that appeared after the dinosaurs. This is a wonderful story. In this instance, what are the virtues that Barnum Brown, a
