This is John Batcher continuing my conversation over many years with Cleopascal the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy

about the Oceania, the Indo-Pacific Oceania, the sovereign powers, the states, the colonies all across the vast

Pacific and the contest between the United States and its allies and the People's Republic of China.

These states are stepping stones across the Pacific in the event of war over Taiwan.

The U.S. must control the route to resupply and reinforce Taiwan.

Any interruption will mean that the U.S. is contained and that the People's Republic of China can

overwhelm its neighborhood. Cleopascal is describing a particular chain of islands from Hawaii that leads to the Philippines

under Japan, onto Taiwan, and how it is that it's waiting for Congress to meet its obligations to these

states. We provide security for them. They give us basing permission. However, there is a hold up right now in Congress.
