This is John Batcher, conversation with John Bolton, former National Security Advisor,

about the death of Navalny and Putin's responsibility, the Russian Federation's responsibility for the abuse of a man who campaigned for an open

Russia, a transparent Russia, a democracy in Russia. Mr. Putin measures both President Biden's response

to the news and former President Trump's response to the news.

Mr. Bolton finds both wanting.

Here's John Bolton, former National Security Advisor,

writing most recently at the Hill about the death of Navalny and the response from two

presidents of the United States.

Well for different reasons I'm not sure either Biden or Trump have learned

that lesson. Trump thinks that really there's nothing that much wrong with with

Putin when once confronted in the I believe in the 2016 election campaign with with some of

Putin's misdeeds he said so what we're so perfect here in America I mean it's

really it's what the liberals do is this moral equivalency that people like

Tucker Carlson people like Donald Trump have it turned a blind eye to what Putin's

actually doing and I think Biden's faith from the left in the power of

negotiation to accomplish almost anything blinds him to what Putin is too.

The first test we'll see here is from Biden. He's in office now. He has said if any harm came to

Navalny in prison there'd be consequences and so now spotlights on

Biden. Let's see what he does. I have no faith whatever

that Trump would do anything to impose pain on Putin if he came into office.
