This is John Bachelor, conversation with my colleague Katrina Vandenover, the editorial director and publisher of the nation magazine,

about Joe Biden welcoming NATO to Washington and how all eyes will be on Joe Biden's press conference at the end of the two-day meeting.

Why? Because of the controversy over the President's health.

Katrina reveals, for the first time of my knowledge, must be reported in Europe

that the G7 meeting, a number of leaders who had not seen Mr. Biden for some time were surprised, shocked even at

his diminished pallor and presence. The questions remain. They won't go away. I understand this is

domestic politics, but right now NATO has to look at the leader of NATO, President Biden, not what he was at the beginning of his first term.

Absolutely I mean coming out of the G7 meeting it's now reported that many of

those attending were deeply shaken by Biden.

They hadn't seen him, I think, in a few years

and how he had was so diminished.

So I think that is going to be a central part.

Certainly for the US media, more attention will be paid to what is planned as a press conference, a solo press conference by President Biden Thursday at the end of the summit.

So that will galvanize more attention

that might have been paid to NATO.

So I think it's gonna be an unusual summit

and more attention paid to an organization that I suspect, and I say this with

humility, you know, millions of people don't know what it is or what it does, but those attending will also be paying close attention.
