Conversation with my colleague Colonel Jeff McCausen, CBS News, about the

industrial base that supports NATO.

NATO is going through an exercise of 90,000 troops like right now, warships, warplanes, lots of

tanks, lots of equipment moving around in the cold.

It all comes from an industrial base that is judged inadequate. The stores of NATO have been

emptied for Ukraine conflict. There's nothing left. They've got to produce more of everything.

For all the nations of NATO, that means an industrial base that doesn't exist.

To rebuild that industrial base will cost time and money and it will require political leadership.

Here's Jeff McCausen, the United States Army retired, talking about the industrial base.
