for this week's episode on 10 Cloverfield Lane. At this point, an armed man, Howard,

enters the room and he offers her a tray of food.

She obviously thinks she's been kidnapped or held hostage and is begging to be let go,

trying to appeal to him while he's calmly setting her IV up and telling her that she needs fluids.

And she asks what he's going to do to her.

And he says he's going to keep her alive before he hands her a pair of crutches. And he says to get familiar with these. She again is trying to beg for her life and threaten him and get out of here however she can. She says, they're boyfriend's going to the cops looking for her, but then he says that no one is going to come looking. And then he hands her the key to the handcuffs and

it locks her back in the room. I love that. Because it just diverted my expectations. I was like,

wait, what? Oh. Because instantly in my mind, I'm like, there is something bigger than this

than a possible kidnapping. Yeah. And the fact that he does immediately help, you know, he gives her the crutches, he gives her the key, he gives her the food.

Like, yeah, he's not, he doesn't seem like your typical hostage taker.

Right.

Comparing this to the first time, there's a juxtaposition because now that I know the movie,

I see all of the double meaning in a lot of what he says.

Where if you know the rest of the movie, you can see that he's just like not saying things,

which is frustrating to me.

Yeah.
