This is John Batchler, colleague Jeff Bliss, Pacific Watch, comments on the arrests and the

suspicions around people in neighborhoods looting. People driving by at night caught on the

ring cameras that are on every front door in these empty, darkened neighborhoods,

not burned, just evacuated, or some burned and others standing

intact, people catching burglars on their home video equipment set up to monitor the house when

they're not at home, a story that's going to grow over these next days and weeks. The electricity is down in many of

these very well-to-do neighborhoods and Jeff Bliss on the beginning of the burglary looting,

suspicious activity in the tragedy of Los Angeles fires, more of this tonight?

All of that is true.

I heard the sheriff today saying they've apprehended about, arrested 39, maybe 40 people for curfew violations, burglary, carrying weapons, that type of thing.

And we were waiting to hear from LAPD and some of the other jurisdictions about their numbers.

And the thinking is, you know, when it's all of a sudden done, you're looking at probably 100 people at least arrested for burglary and curfew violations.

And this is an ongoing concern.

We have lots of video of people breaking into homes or driving,

looking suspicious, driving around neighborhoods with blacked out windows and then being chased

off by local residents, even cameras that people have in their homes, like those ring cameras,

videotaping people who are in there robbing their homes.

So this is a big concern, along with arsonists.

There have been a number of arsonists caught throughout this past week.

Some have just been caught on video and some have been caught by the police.
