This is John Bachelor, conversation with colleague John Bolton, writing at the Wall Street Journal about the reluctance of the Biden administration to administer sanctions and severe sanctions on Iran for its violation of the suspect nuclear weapons program. In addition the European allies have long

been involved in the JCPOA reawakening attempt now believe that Iran is a completely unacceptable

conduct with regard nuclear weapons and wants to punish it the more. Snapback sanctions was talked about at one time.

It is the Biden administration that is reluctant and coaxing the Europeans to back off.

John Bolton reflects on this,

It would appear the Gaza War, the Ukraine War,

even in a conflict with China, the administration wants to go softly, softly,

very carefully.

Well I really think that's the pattern I mean I think that's exactly right we don't want

Ukraine to lose but we're afraid of letting them win and in this case we'll

provide Israel with missile defense and drone defense we just don't want them to

prevail over Hamas.

And I think the underlying reason for this pattern

is the fear that something will get worse internationally

and it will reflect on the administration's failure.

It was supposed to be the Biden administration that took over from the from the

chaotic Trump administration, you know, renewed our alliances and got things straight in the world.
