This is John Bachelor.

A conversation with Seth Fransman of the Jerusalem Post, the Foundation for the Defense of democracies,

about the reporting in the news of an intelligence league from the United States to adversaries,

intelligence related to the potential of an Israeli counter-strike against Iran. Seth characterizes it very carefully, and it does point

to the U.S. but it does not point to a major concern, which is what targets and when.

The compromise intelligence from what I saw was document, two documents, one of which, or both of which

seemed to relate to basically surveillance that is undertaken or

assessments by the United States apparently of what Israel is doing in the lead up to

the possible attack on Iran.

And it basically focused on a few air bases and the fact that Israeli planes are doing what

you'd expect Israeli planes to do before an attack, which is some training and

that they're they're using air-launched ballistic missiles of which one type is definitely a well-known type of Israel possesses.

This is looks like more like a CIA type of daily brief assessment type of information that the US would do in any place where it thinks the conflict might break out.

It doesn't appear to be a leak in terms of Israel told the Americans, well, the

tomorrow we're going to attack, and then that was leaked. It's a bit different.

It's, of course, a serious problem. That should never be leaked as information, but

as I understood it, lots of people do have access to this in the U.S.

Intel community and I guess other of the Five Eyes countries like the UK or New Zealand etc.
