This is John Batchel, a conversation with my colleague Gregor Copley about the attendance at the Charmotscheng Peace Deal, Seats Fire. President Erdogan of Turkey attended. However,

President Erdogan of Turkey is a chief sponsor, a major sponsor, of turmoil in the Middle East.

He's a neo-Ottomanist. He wants to reclaim as much of the Ottoman Empire as possible.

It's quite utopian and fantastic dystopian of him, but there it is.

And he was keen on the turmoil continuing in the Middle East.

And here Gregory describes how President Trump reaches out to Erdogan,

invites him to come over to the NATO side, even though he's a member of NATO,

and how it's very unlikely that Erdogan will comply or agree. Why? His competition with Israel, his challenge to Israel, his threat to Israel. Here's Gregory to describe what we didn't

understand about the Erdogan attendance of Shamal Sheikh. Where I'm told, he demanded that Netanyahu no

not appear. He said, I'm told, that if he shows up, I won't.

So they made a deal.

They may abate or modify themselves for a few days until they get reorganized.

But Erdogan, who's the primary sponsor of these groups, is determined to keep them moving,

and he will be talking to his Western friends who are financing this to keep that momentum up. So I think not only will we see a continuation of in different forms and maybe with more or less effect in certain countries

around the world.

But we will see a resumption of these because as far as Erdogan's concerned, he cannot afford

to give the impression that Israel and therefore has won the war.
