about the proposal by the United States for a floating dock off of the beaches of Gaza

in order to resupply the Gazans up to 2 million meals a day.

And what this means for the larger conflict now underway in Gaza and throughout the region.

What can go wrong and why includes the decision and announcement that there will be a thousand

military personnel on the scene to construct the dock and to provide what

appears to be security for the foodstuffs and other supplies moving from ship to shore and the concern about what's in those packages, what

could be in those packages.

Here's Jonathan Schanser on the risks and the challenge of the floating dock off of Gaza

in these next weeks and months.

Look, I think there is an interesting analogy that could play out

which is of course that the US could be targeted by whether it's

Hezbollah whether a Tamas or Shia militias or independent actors lone wolves you

name it I mean the 1,000 servicemen that will apparently be involved in the

construction of this pier, to me they seem like targets. I also would just note that

you know, the U.S US or whoever else is involved in the distribution of this aid or even the provision of this aid,

they're going to need to be really careful about not getting Israeli blood on their hands.
