This is John Batcher, a conversation with Cliff May, the president and founder of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy

about the Biden administration and its demands on the IDF about the Gaza operation, what's left of it, the RFA underground.

Cliff is very clear that this is only a small piece of the larger threat to Israel from surrogates of the Islamic

Republic of Iran.

The way Cliff puts it, they look at the trees, they're not looking at the forest, a scale of it.

There are many threats coming and they will not be ended with the Rafa operation, whatever happens there.

the Administration's emphasis focus again and again on one neighborhood of Gaza given the scale of the war all around Israel and the Middle

East.

More of this tonight. The most important thing here is that the Biden administration keeps focusing on trees, not the forest.

So they don't seem, they seem to reject the idea that Hamas is part of this ring of fire that the

Islamic Republic of Iran has been for years establishing around Israel and the

intention is genocidal it is to destroy Israel and to kill Israelis.

And so that's Hamas, that's Hezbollah, that's the huthies in Yemen, that's various

militias in Syria and Iraq, and of course we've now had it for the first

time drones and missiles fired from Iran proper. What this administration keeps

trying to do is saying can't we get some kind of deal with the Islamic

republic of Iran can't we get them to agree to share the neighborhood if we if we

respect their equities won't they compromise a little bit?

It's a real misunderstanding of this regime in Iran and it's a misunderstanding that goes back

to the Obama administration.
