We come to the example of FDR and Linden-Baines Johnson and equality. What is to be done?

Linden-Baines-Johnson's approach was to build on the New Deal, but build on a way that is overwhelmingly the government

dominating the question of equality and redistribution.

Here is David to explain. You know, although Johnson did describe himself as a Roosevelt New

dealer and he was one of Roosevelt's key leaders in the Congress, you can make the case

that Roosevelt's main accomplishment for the little, for the

forgotten man was Social Security, which again you can make the argument as

really more a form of insurance.
