This is John Bachelor speaking with Seth Fransman of the Jerusalem Post, an adjunct fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, about the 36 Division of the IDF.

The 36 Division is a division that is designated as a war fighter up front.

36 Division was immediately deployed to Gaza in the early days of the conflict.

It consists of the Galani infantry, the 7th armored and 188th armored brigades, the 282nd

artillery unit and other elements.

It is an attack division.

It's called the rage division.

It has been withdrawn from Gaza for R&R.

However, where does it go next or does it go home?

The 36th Division and Seth has a very complicated and helpful answer to understand the war and threat.

The war is in Gaza, the threat is in the north, Hezbollah.

The 36th has been pulled out of Gaza.

It's been redeployed.

I'm not sure if's any you know operational security discussion of where it's been redeployed but

the 36th is out of Guz I don't know if that necessarily indicates it's in the north or where it's going next.

The 36th is, yeah, it is nicknamed the Rage Division.

It's a heavy unit with lots of armor, armor in it, lots of tanks. It is the unit that anyone, if you were an army,

if you're the IDF or any army, would want to use

to defeat and destroy your enemies.

And if obviously that enemy is Hezbollah,

then I would assume, you know, once that unit is retooled
