This is John Bachelor. I spoke with my colleagues, Gordon Chang, who is traveling in Sydney, Australia.

And Charles Burton of Canada, who's traveling, he's in Ontario, about Chinese interference,

harassment, spying in Canada. Charles' answer is revelatory of the scale of the spying,

bullying, punishing interference that China visits, visits upon the people of Canada

and in particular, one member of parliament, who it has tried to intimidate. Not a casual

member of parliament, but the shadow foreign affairs minister. That means that in the event

that the conservatives win the parliament in the next general election, this will be the

foreign minister and they attempt to intimidate bully him and his family. His Charles at

length about China's program, state security, operating with diplomatic cover, not very

much, in our neighbor to the north.

Well, one Chinese spy was expelled because this man, Zhao Wei, was exposed in the Globe

and Mail newspaper as having attempted to seek information about Mr. Chang's family

in Hong Kong with a view to intimidating them to pressure Mr. Chang to cease his demands

that the Chinese government, you know, cease genocide in the way of regions and cease

to send intelligence agents into Canadian universities to get five eyes, dual use military

technologies back to China. So, you know, from that point of view, we did expel one, but
