I asked her what she's watching for in the debate between the two presidents, especially what she's watching for

with Mr. Biden.

He was vigorous and extremely clear in the State of the Union message earlier this year.

Are we expecting similar conduct from him

for 90 minutes of the debate?

It certainly is what they're hoping for. It's different though John because that was energy, who knows, who knows where he found that energy, but he read a teleprompter? This is different.

He has to be kind of quick on his feet. He has to respond to changing stimulus.

We've seen that a lot of the time he doesn't do that very well. Now maybe arresting is really critical to that but all Americans should sort of say okay but when you're in the midst of a crisis as we have been in the Ukraine and Israel and the events on the ground. The answer is no. So he can do this. If he can do this evening, fine. I'm not sure that really answers all the questions that voters have.
