about the report that Cairo, Egypt, is advancing a plan for reconstructing, re-enovating Gaza.

It's not really being debated. It's not something that is being taken seriously here in

Washington, John. It's not being taken seriously in Israel. I think the Egyptians have just

simply decided to put something out there as a counter to Donald Trump.

But let me also just say this, that the Egyptians are on very dangerous ground right now.

As I understand it, they have deployed more troops in the Sinai than are allowed pursuant to the Camp David Accords.

And this is something that is now very much on the radar of those in Israel, wondering what the

intent of Egypt would be.

I think they're trying to bolster their diplomacy with some military might.

I don't think the Israelis are taking that terribly seriously,

but they are concerned about what Egypt's intentions may be. In the meantime, we continue to

see smuggling across the border between the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip. Specifically,
