Dan, I've obviously had you on my show a handful of times.

Jay, the reason I kind of wanted to speak to you, because there is this question of the soul of the GOP.

And, you know, it wasn't really that long ago, certainly for most of my lifetime.

The GOP was pretty much basically just a neocon party.

And now that descriptor fits significantly less well.

It's gone through a transition.

Can you tell us about how the GOP made that transition and where you think it lies today?
