Aukis has pillars.

Pillar 1, the ambition is to transfer a Virginia-class attack sub one or two to Australia

to be headquartered at a Fremantle, that's Western Australia, a port,

and to offer that submarine as a holdover until Australia is in a position

for its defense industrial base to build nuclear-powered submarines of its own that are specific

to the area to patrol the Southeast Pacific where the waters are shallower, not the deep

water of the Pacific and the Atlantic,

built for the Virginia Class Submarine.

However, there are many complications having to do with the transfer of data, of

of intellectual property, of training, and the question of a Virginia

class submarine that doesn't exist or won't be built for some time

is also at issue. So here Henry Sakhowski guides me to

understand what Pillar 2 is and that that's much more likely and practical.
