about the monopoly in technology lasting not very long. The AI fall from grace recently, while it's

exaggerated as exciting, considering that the high entry of costs into AI for training was seen to be

prohibitive, only the big players. But now there's the suggestion that anyone can get in. Good for

the chip makers, not so good for those who are monetizing their training and inference models.

In any event, it's the way of technology. The moment you get a

corner, somebody comes along and takes it away from you. John Cochran on capitalism, always working

to push us, make it cheaper, make it more readily available, and then the next. More of this

tonight. Well, capitalism is about allowing

people to innovate and unseat established competitors. This is the fourth time the story

has been told. Let me remind you know, in the old days, oh, computers, well, IBM's got that

wrapped up. They'll be making monopoly profits forever. Ah-uh. Here comes Apple and Microsoft.

Second time around.

Oh, the Internet.

The, you know, the first movers, the great Internet monopolies, AOL, Netscape, Yahoo.

The FTC even broke up Microsoft's Internet Explorer because it was a monopolies.

Anyone heard any of this stuff again?

And then, you know, people keep saying, oh, Google, Facebook, the Fangs, Amazon,

they're a monopoly.

They're all running scared about AI.

And so, you know, AI came and went the great AI monopoly.

It's going to get undercut by competition, too.
