This is John Matcher speaking with Ronan Wordsworth of Geopolitical futures about the Democratic

Republic of Congo exploited by China these many years for its rich resources.

However, there is a new player, the Russia Corps. It is the

Transform Progosian group, Logner Group, once upon a time, now directly linked

to the Russian military. Ronan explains how it's being used, what it

leaves is its place in the African republics that have recently gone rogue and moved from democracy to coup masters the Russia Corps, a new player.

Yeah, so the Africa Corps is basically the remnants of the Wagner group.

Now if we were back the Wagner group under Progosian,

you've getting Progosian, had a significant presence across Africa and they were a private military contractor, but that wasn't just the full scope of their remit.

Basically they provided security, they provided military, they did mining operations, they even did some

other manufacturing operations in countries such as Central African Republic, and then another major part of what they offered, or what they, not what they offered, what they actually undertook was direct misinformation campaigns.

And these are following Progosions death last year. These remnants of Wagner Group basically got adopted into the Russian Ministry of Defense

under the catch-all title Africa Corps.

And so these operations now continue, but they're now much more tightly linked to the

Russian State, the Russian Ministry of Defense, rather than being directly governed by a

purgosian who maybe has some relationship with the Ministry of Defense, now it's directly aligned with them under this newly formed Africa core and that includes

misinformation, I would say, sites and such as the Africa Initiative, which was cited by US government officials as being

a prominent promoter of anti-Western propaganda, and they sort of mix it in with some factual reporting and then some very much

Exaggerated or or downright false information I would say.
