Okay, let's get into some players. First player of the day is Jacori Kroski Merritt, who's been getting another shot for the commanders here at the end of the season. His rookie season is really kind of a war shack test. You can take whatever you want from it. Neosayers are going to look at his profile and say he doesn't catch passes. He's really inconsistent, just two-down grinder. and the people who are into him or not go, look, he's really efficient runner,

talented players like that tend to earn larger roles. And he can continue to do that in the NFL. You're looking at, you know, just on the surface, he's run for nearly 800 yards, eight touchdowns this season. He leads the commander's in carries.'s got 8.6 ppr points for game. Four games over 10 points, nine games under six points, speaking to that variability he's had. He has almost 50% of the backfield opportunities for the commanders, which is 2.9% target share. He's never been a pass catcher. He was a past catcher in college.

He's not a past catcher's first year in the NFL.

And I think that's why we see some variability to his usage week to week,

depending on who's healthy, all that, even when people are not healthy,

that variability still kind of comes into play.

It's because I think, you know, some teams, even if you're really efficient at being a two-down grinder, two-down runner,

they don't care because they want their running backs to be more well-rounded and be relied on in different situations.

And right now, J-CM is not someone who can be relied on in all situations or even really more than a couple situations. It's pretty, you know, one-sided in what he does in the NFL at this point. He is really good at it. He's really efficient runner. He's shown that. He's explosive. He can break tackles, break long runs. We've seen it. But the commanders obviously value players who can do a little bit more than just that.

And that's why I think we see him not getting the opportunities. We'd love to see him get. Now, looking forward to the future, the commander's backfield is kind of in flux. You know, it could look similar to the way it did this year. It could look a lot different next year. If I'm going to bet on

someone in that backfield currently, it's going to be JCP, but I can pretty much guarantee

that I'm going to be below market on him because there are more people out there who are really
