We're toasting bagels and calling it dinner as we huddle up to prepare for May Madness, that last month of school that gets real hectic real fast. We share how we're each rolling into the end of school and compare the May Madness of homeschool to public school. Then we anticipate May challenges and brainstorm the future high fives we can give ourselves. We hope this episode helps to make your May a little bit tamer!

next door neighbors and good friends who love a good chat and a good laugh. We're inviting you to

0:13.2

come on in, have a drink, and stay a while. Hey friend. Hey friend. Today we are huddling up to talk

0:19.8

about getting ready for May Madness, which is something

0:23.0

that we think any other fellow parents of school-aged kids can relate to. May Madness is that

0:29.4

0:34.2

of control at any moment. And in fact, it was about this time last year that

0:39.6

we had the idea for this episode so that we personally would do a better job preparing for

0:44.4

May this year. So this is an episode that we hope will make our lives and our listeners a little

0:50.2

bit better. But first, what's been happening around the neighborhood for you? We just had this

0:55.9

lovely encounter with somebody who is clearly doing what they love in life. And I love when you have

1:00.6

that situation happen. So we're getting a tree taken out of our front yard that's like got some

1:05.4

invasive roots that, you know, builders put in, but it's not really the best tree for the area.

1:09.9

And then doing a couple other things, adding a couple other things, you know, along with

1:13.6

that.

1:13.8

So we had the guy from the nursery out to, you know, give us a quote and kind of look at our

1:18.0

area, what will grow best, whatever.

1:19.5

And this friend's name is Phil Forrest.

1:23.2

Oh, Phil.

1:24.1

I promise you.

1:24.8

Mr. Forrest. And he was like the most enthusiastic guy about trees I've ever seen.

1:30.4

I think he was more enthusiastic than you are about trees.
