1:01.1	But broader GOP politics have also interacted with how we talk about COVID-19 and who we
1:05.5	blame for its death toll and disruption to our lives.
1:08.6	I'm speaking of course of the never ending cold war.
1:11.4	In this context blaming China is actually strategically useful.
1:14.6	Just another prong in a both covert and public effort to undermine the perceived foe.
1:19.6	Lab leak theory, the idea that the virus may have been accidentally released from a laboratory
1:24.0	was during the Trump era widely derided by the liberal and mainstream media as a conspiracy
