Hello and welcome to another edition of the Nix Film School pregame show.

My name is Andrew Claudio, aka GMAC and it's time to preview the Knicks upcoming matchup

against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night at MSG when the Knicks will be

celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the 1973 championship team.

And oh boy, is this going to feel like a homecoming game?

Because the pelicans are coming in

not very good at the moment. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that Zion Williamson,

their former number one pick and they're all-star, their guy that really is going to side to the

ceiling of this team is you're going to find out in the conversation that I had yesterday.

He's the straw that stirs the drink.

And the former number one pick out of Duke that was part of a draft that Nick's fans remember

well because they took RJ Barrett third overall, the year that we tanked for Zion and ended up

with RJ.

Regardless, the vibes are not very good in New Orleans.

Zion went down on January 2nd.

And at that point, the Pelicans were hovering around the first or second seed in the

Western Conference.

Think about that.

Where New Orleans and Memphis are now, that's what, excuse me, where Denver and Memphis

are now, that's where New Orleans was.

And it looked like my Pelicans, after last year's fun showing in the playing and then in the

playoffs against the Suns, they were going to build on that by adding a superstar like Zion.
