Today's going to be such a unique conversation because I think when people hear the word travel, they don't often correlate it with hobby.

And we're going to make a case for that.

Starting with hearing what this has been for you, like what this has been like as a family who has prioritized travel.

What about this is a hobby for you?

And how did you come into it as a mom in particular? So about a year after

my husband and I got married, he was just finishing school and he was about to start a new job. I was

just about to go back to school. So we sort of built in a summer for ourselves and decided that we

were going to do some travel. We knew we wanted to have kids in the kind of near future.

So we figured, you know what, we're going to build in some travel time because we didn't

really think we would be able to after we had kids. So we were able to visit a number of really

special places, both to our families for other places that we've been before but hadn't been

together and just places that we wanted to

see together. It was a really special summer and kind of felt like our last hurrah. Fast forward to
