Hi everyone, it's Tamler Summers from the very bad Wizards Podcast.

I'm also a professor of philosophy at the University of Houston.

And I'm here to do a pre-cog on one of my favorite topics, free will and moral responsibility.

We're going to be discussing three really good articles, first, freedom and resentment

by P.F. Strassen or Peter Strassen.

And second, the impossibility of moral responsibility by Gailan Strassen, who's the son of P.F.

Strassen.

And finally, responsibility and the limits of evil by Gary Watson.

Before I get to the articles, I want to get a couple of terminological things out of

the way.

People talk a lot about free will and that is the big sexy issue.

Do we have free will?

Does neuroscience undermine free will?

Can we have free will in a deterministic world?

But the thing we're really talking about, the interesting issue is not really about free

will, but only as it relates to moral responsibility.
