A man carrying a rifle was arrested at a park close to Senate office buildings in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.

However, the U.S. Capitol Police say there's no ongoing threat.

Police say the suspect is in custody and they have searched the park and planned to go

through the man's belongings due to safety concerns.

Police officers were seen running toward the capital.

One witness described the suspect as a tall black man wearing an orange

jump suit. The US has authorized the sale of precision bombs to Israel as the country

fights to eradicate Hamas.

The Biden administration formally notified Congress in October 31st

of its authorization to allow the sale of the kits which turned unguided bombs into precision

guided bombs. The order came after another sale of the same kits valued at over $400 million.

The Israeli-owned Raphael Advanced Defense Systems is purchasing the equipment directly from Rofiel USA,

an American company that has ties to its Israeli counterpart and not through the U.S. government.

Weapons transfer comes after Hamas launched an unprecedented terrorist attack on October 7th,

murdering 1400 Israelis wounding 5,300 more and kidnapping more than 240.

Meanwhile Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel may remain in Gaza for an unspecified amount of time

though President Biden has said occupying Gaza would be a mistake. This comes as rockets fired by Hezbollah reached further

into Israeli territory. The terror group's deputy secretary general tried to frame
