It's interesting that Luke mentions three things, three accusations, that basically

early Christian preaching, and these are Christian Jews was worthy of persecution because it

attacked three things Moses, God and the temple. Interesting picking those

three things. So Moses represents the law. So early Christians were saying

we can't be saved by the law but only by God's grace and Jesus Christ.

And then God be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but also Jesus is God.

Okay, that's blasphemy, that's why he was crucified on that very charge.

And then third, the the temple because the temple is the

typical logical place where God piles up sins and throws a blanket over them until Jesus comes.

Wow.

But now Jesus has come.

It's time for those sins to actually be forgiven.

Those sins to be purged.

Those sins to be completely forgotten as far as the east is from the west.

So you don't need a temple anymore.

Christ is the temple.

What does he do?

Stephen, that is, in his sermon he turns to Abraham, not Moses.

You've got to realize this is in fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant, which is a covenant of of grace which you guys never talk about in fact you turn the Abrahamic covenant into law all the time
