Good evening, John. Well, the timing is very much aimed at Taiwan's National Day, but also at some remarks

that President Lai Chingda has made intimating that the People's Republic of China can't really

be considered the motherland to which Taiwan should unify given that the Republic of China which is Taiwan's current government

name and constitution was established decades prior so basically it was a political

move to try to push back notions that somehow Taiwan is this
