and we're very pleased to welcome the author of China's Technology War, why Beijing took down its tech giants.

Andrew Collier, managing director of Orient Capital Research.

Andrew, a very good day to you, the presidential election and the markets in general,

but also looking very carefully at some of the disruptions through the markets.

I'm looking at AstraZeneca, for example.

Can you generalize what you expect the Asian markets to do in this news of

Mr. Trump elected again? Is there going to be any significant change or business as usual? Good day to you,

Andrew. Good day. Well, I do think that there'll be some anticipation that tax cuts in the near term

could be positive

for the corporate sector, which is obviously good for earnings. However, on the other hand,

we obviously have the geopolitical considerations that Trump is likely to institute very sharp

increases in tariffs against Chinese goods.

And, of course, a lot of companies listed in Hong Kong are tied to the Chinese economy.

So that is going to be the main concern.

And I would expect the markets, they've priced a lot of this in because there has been

expectations that Trump would win anyway.

But there was going to be concerns going forward

that will affect the markets. Gordon, you have a question. Yeah, tariffs are important for China,

but tariffs are also important for countries in the periphery and the question of places like

Malaysia and others. What are they thinking? Because it seems to me that tariffs are important for

them and maybe even more important for them than for places like China. Well, a lot of these
